Stretch hoods

Dimark is a progressive company whose main field of activity is designing and constructing the internal transport systems and conveyors in the automatic and semiautomatic lines.

Stretch hoods offered by Dimark enable to wrap all types of pallets with stretch film in a hermetic, fast, cheap and firm way.

Stretch hoods application machines’ way of working:

1. Full pallet, by means of a roller conveyor or a fok lift, is put on a platform of a machine for hoods application.

2. Electric sensor measures the height ( in more sofisticated models all dimensions) of a pallet so as to choose a proper hood’s dimension.

3. After proper hood’s dimensions are set, a film is cut from a roll and its ends are sealed.

4. The hood is extended on four mechanical arms, which move along a pallet till its bottom.

5. When arms are lifted, film goes back to its original form and tightly wrap a pallet.

Advanteges of our stretch hoods:

• Higher quality of packaging process. Pallets wrapped with stretch hood are water proof as it is apllied on entire pallet till its bottom.


• Stretch hood adopts itself to the shape of a pallet, which allows to operate irregularly shaped pallets.

• Stretch hoods does not stick to products on a pallet.

• The technology of hoods application is very fast, even more than 150 pallets/ h in a single lane.

• One size of hood enables to wrap differnt types of pallets. With two sizes of hood, it is possible to wrap most of standard pallets, from half pallets ( 60 x 80 mm) to double pallets ( 120 x 160 mm).

• Aesthetic value. Stretch film is incredibly transparent.

• Film usage is low which decreases material costs.

• Low maintainance costs in comparison with othe packaging systems due to fewer moving and heated parts.
